3月中旬にて道東地区で流氷を見に行きました。
In mid-March, I went to see drift ice in the East Hokkaido area.
流氷の時期は2月中旬頃で、本番ではなかったですが、ちゃんと見えました！
The drift ice was around mid-February, so it was not in full swing, but it was visible!
流氷群は紋別から網走に移っており、網走辺りはかなり多く漂着していました。
The drift ice group had moved from Monbetsu to Abashiri, and there was quite a lot of drift ice drifting around Abashiri.
ただ、写真で取ると、地面に雪が積もっているような・・・意外と生活に馴染んでいる
ことがよーく分かりました笑
However, if you take a picture of it, it looks like snow on the ground…
I could see that it is surprisingly familiar with life lol
流氷もいいですが、展望台からの冬の摩周湖も素敵で、夕暮れ時は絶景でした。
The drift ice is nice, but Lake Mashu in winter from the observation deck was also nice, and the sunset was spectacular.
帰りは釧路に戻り、釧路市内のちゃりんこにて。カレイの煮つけが絶品でした。
On the way back to Kushiro, we went to Charinko restaurant in Kushiro. The boiled flounder was excellent.
一度は冬の道東地区もおススメです。
I recommend you to visit the East Hokkaido area in winter at least once.
